Professor Bambang Tjahjadi has more than 20 years’ experience in academia and consulting in Indonesia. He is currently Professor in Accounting in the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Airlangga, one of Indonesia’s leading universities, based in Surabaya. Amonst the other positions he holds at the university are the Head of Doctoral Program in Accounting and the Chairman of Centre for Good Governance and Competitiveness.
Over his long and distinguished career, Professor Tjahjadi has been a consultant to Semen Indonesia, Perusahaan Listrik Negara, Kimia Farma, Pelabuhan Indonesia III, Perusahaan Perkebunan Nusantara, Pelabuhan Teluk Lamong, Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Pembangkitan Jawa Bali, Angkasa Pura I, Perusahaan Perkapalan, and DOK Surabaya, amongst others. He is also a speaker, and facilitator in the areas of Strategic Management, Balanced Scorecard Systems, Strategic Cost Management and Strategic Business Analysis. He is a certified trainer of the Certified Management Accounting (CMA-Australia) program.
Professor Tjahjadi holds a Bachelor in Accounting from Universitas Airlangga; a Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University (USA) and a Doctoral Degree in Economics from Universitas Airlangga. Amongst his professional certifications are: Certified Professional Marketer (CPM-Asia Pacific); Certified Management Accountant (CMA-Australia) and Chartered Accountant (CA-Indonesia). He also has a Project Management (MPM) Certification from the Western Carolina University in North Carolina, USA.
Professor Tjahjadi is a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (Australia); Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI); Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI) and the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA).
The Institute of Certified Management Accountants is honoured to induct Professor Bambang Tjahjadi to the Global Management Accounting Hall of Fame® for his services to the profession in Indonesia.
